Current Projects
Project Asmi
School Psychology Programme
Project Asmi is a school psychology initiative aimed at enhancing Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) within classrooms while providing direct interventions for students. Initially launched in two schools during the 2018-19 academic year, we have expanded to two additional affordable private schools in Bengaluru urban district for the 2019-20 academic year. Our success was highlighted when we showcased our initiative as a poster presentation at the UNESCO MGEIP's TECH CONFERENCE 2019 in Vizag, India, emphasizing our dedication to creating inclusive and happy school environments.
Junkeri Learning Center
Learning Enhancement Programme
This is a pilot project, currently running in Chirang district of Assam. We cater to children enrolled in government primary schools.
Research
STEM Research
Pratham Books partnered with the Pragyam Foundation to implement a research project focused on STEM Classroom Libraries in two budget-friendly private schools located in Bengaluru. The primary objective of this project was to examine whether the introduction of STEM literature, in conjunction with other educational resources, could contribute to the development of scientific inquiry skills in students.
Enabling schools
Through the Partner Schools Initiative, Pragyam extends its support to schools by providing educational resources and capacity development. Presently, we are proud to have five schools from Assam, West Bengal, and Sikkim as partners under this program.
Making story books available in mother language
Pragyam Foundation was selected to be part of the Storyweaver's Annual Freedom to Read 2020 campaign. As a part of this project, the foundation contributed in translating stories. Our focus was Karbi and Bodo languages.
